I feel like I want to climb a high mountain, create a little spot of land for myself and just sit there, look at the world around me, and think. It's not like I need to be on a mountain to think, but there's something about mountains that I love. Something about nature in general, it's the signs of Allah that makes nature amazing, the serenity in observing the beautiful complexity, the organized chaos of life.
I like the feeling of the wind blowing on me. I like laying on the floor gazing at the clouds and wondering what they look like. I like looking at greenery, lots of it, everywhere.
I love holding a child and just sitting.
Like today in the office after school, a child came and sat next to me... I love that.
Ya Rabbi, children are such a mercy, such a huge, huge, huge mercy. Remember how I taught Summer camp? Today I bumped into one of my students, she wrote me a letter with a drawing. I asked her, "How long did you have this with you?" She said, "I have been holding on to it for 4 weeks, I knew I'd see you eventually." -whoa-
Some people are so thoughtful, subHan Allah, so thoughtful. I can't even begin to describe what kind of happiness that was, it was incredibly heart warming. Imagine, somebody has something prepared for you, just waiting to give it to you... it's thoughtful, it makes me feel like my heart has held a beat just to absorb the moment.
Children seem to always do things just to make you happy.
It's not just children who are thoughtful, believe it or not, some adults are too... whoa! -smiles- al-Hamdu liLlah for thoughtful people.
