Az-Zukhruf

I've just been thinking about these verses ...

12.
Wa al-Ladhī Khalaqa al-'Azwāja kullahā wa ja`ala lakum mina al-Fulki wa al-'An`ām Mā tarkabūna.

He Who created all the pairs, and appointed for you ships and cattle whereupon ye ride.

وَالَّذِي خَلَقَ الْأَزْوَاجَ كُلَّهَا وَجَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ الْفُلْكِ وَالْأَنْعَامِ مَا تَرْكَبُونَ

13.
Litastawū `alá Žuhūrihi thumma tadhkurū ni`mata Rabbikum 'idhā istawaytum `alayhi wa taqūlū Subĥāna al-Ladhī Sakhkhara lanā Hādhā wa Mā Kunnā lahu Muqrinīna.

That ye may mount upon their backs, and may remember your Lord's favour when ye mount thereon, and may say: Glorified be He Who hath subdued these unto us, and we were not capable (of subduing them);

لِتَسْتَوُوا عَلَى ظُهُورِهِ ثُمَّ تَذْكُرُوا نِعْمَةَ رَبِّكُمْ إِذَا اسْتَوَيْتُمْ عَلَيْهِ وَتَقُولُوا سُبْحانَ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُ مُقْرِنِينَ


14.
Wa 'innā 'ilá Rabbinā lamunqalibūna.

And lo! unto our Lord we surely are returning.

وَإِنَّا إِلَى رَبِّنَا لَمُنقَلِبُونَ

I guess, there are a lot of things about these verses that have been circulating in my mind.

for example:

Why does it start off saying we have created you in pairs?
And when it talks about ships and cattle, there is no difference in that they both have a back that you mount on, so this du`a' can surely be said on anything that you use as transportation (ex. car) they take us where we want to go... and speaking about trips.. as the interpretation of Allah's words continue, unto our Lord we are surely returning... so perhaps we are also mounting on this dunya, riding it until we meet our destination with Allah.
