Good Du`a' = Success
Okay so... what's up with me?
Well, I created "jobs" in my classroom. It's really funny, they get a paycheck of tickets at the end of the month if they do their job well enough. I have two children in the class who are police officers. I'm so glad I did that because they enforce the rules better than I do! They took more tickets away from the students than I did in a week! It's so cute, one kid in a very low voice goes to another child and says, "you were talking, you need to give me one ticket." -smiles- ya Allah, ya Rabbi, they're so cute!
One of my students, she gives me a flower almost every single day. I don't have the heart to tell her I don't like flowers that are cut, I feel bad for the flower, but I take it with cheer it is the thought that warms my heart. What can I do?
I have a teachers mailbox in my class just for my students in case they want to write me a note, or give me anything. I opened it today and found a student who doesn't do her work write all the spelling words on a piece of paper to practice, yes, indeed that made me happy. I also got a note with a drawing of me and a student... it was cute.
al-Hamdu liLlah, today, they did their work so quietly, they were so well-behaved.
Along with the heart warming moments, there are times I get so frustrated. Sometimes, it is with parents, sometimes it is with the crying, sometimes it's with them not picking up their trash.. I don't know, I need to work on how I discipline them, I really do. For now the jobs are working well, and al-Hamdu liLlah for that.
I feel that also, there's just so much happening at one time, subHan Allah.
... I fantasize of simply sitting in a comfortable chair, reading a book, and then sleeping off into a dream world of wonderful things... but reality is that we need to always keep doing things, and working, and struggling... khayr. Honestly, if through all this work Allah's pleasure is attained, then it was all worth it.
Looks like everyone has their own set of tests, whether it be school exams, or children running around, there's always something al-Hamdu liLlah, may we always remember to keep each other in our du`a' and through our du`a' I feel with certainty that there will be success.
Good du`a' = success (always)
WOW!... I like this whole work land idea... I'm going to present it to those in the office and see if we can do that for the whole school, how awesome! subHan Allah, jazakum Allahu khayran.
